Here are our first photos of the two girls, Elby and Kenna, 4 months old.  

The transition over the last five days has been very interesting to say the least!  At first, much to our surprise, Elby was very crabby to have newcomer Kenna in the house.  We were very reassured to hear from you that this reaction was a compliment to us, as it means Elby's happy with her new home, and doesn't quite yet feel like sharing it with anyone.  Slowly over the last few days her growling episodes have become less frequent, and we've caught her inviting her sister to play, and even sleeping on the same bed!  Kenna is now roaming the whole house along with Elby. Both seem to be quite fascinated by our bird (Meyers parrot), even sitting atop the cage on a blanket (the bird bites for defense, both cats have learned, so they're both very careful now where they place their extremeties).  Though Elby thinks water is interesting, Kenna is quite fascinated by it, insisting on dipping a paw whenever possible. Kenna avoids confrontation wherever possible, whereas Elby enjoys the excitement of it. It's hard at times to believe they're from the same litter, and at the same time we so enjoy the variety their different personalities brings to the house. The photos we've attached are snapshots of Elby and Kenna during their harness and leash training, which we work on with the goal of someday walking them outside, and maybe even down to the beach (I know, we're ambitious).  Elby has had a few "sit" training sessions, and does well as long as the sessions are short.  Both Elby and Kenna are so smart and capable, it's hard not to work with their minds.  We'll see what we can learn!

  We want to be sure others realize what a joy these cats are, and how fortunate we feel to have this opportunity!

The girl are doing great! There getting bigger, with Elby's and her
catattude and Kenna under foot always, they are such a joy. Ellen and I
both feel so fortunate to have them in are home. Weather they are sleeping
or watching the world from the highest cabinet in the kitchen or walking
on the shower door bar in the bathroom. They are two happy girls.
